Album..........: From Jamaica With Reggae (Expanded Edition) Year...........: 1976 (Reissue 2018) Bitrate........: 320 kbps Size...........: 168 mb
Comment........:
Original Release: 1976. Release Date: 9 Feb. 2018. Label: Doctor Bird Records. Total Length: 1:14:46. One of the most popular and influential Jamaican groups of all time Formed early in the 1960s, Justin Hinds & The Dominoes swiftly became one of Jamaica’s most celebrated vocal trios, their pioneering work with Treasure Isle producer, Duke Reid opening the way for the roots sound that would come to dominate the island’s musical landscape the following decade. The trio of Hinds, backed by old school friends, Dennis Sinclair and Junior Dixon remained hugely popular into the next decade, securing major ska, rock steady and reggae hits that included ‘Carry Go Bring Come’, ‘Rub Up, Push Up’, ‘Here I Stand’, ‘Save A Bread’, ‘Drink Milk’ and ‘Mighty Redeemer’. Duke Reid’s passing resulted in the collaborations with Treasure Isle’s new owner, Sonia Pottinger, which spawned further hits in ‘Oh What A Feeling’, ‘Rig-Ma-Roe Game’ and ‘Wipe Your Weeping Eyes’. In 1976, the producer also released the group’s long overdue debut album, ‘From Jamaica With Reggae’, which featured some of the trio’s biggest hits to date, along with a number of previously unissued tracks from the preceding eight years. Previously unissued digitally, the LP forms the basis of this collection, with the original dozen tracks bolstered by a further 14 recordings, many of which appear on CD for the first time.

Artist.........: Justin Hinds And The Dominoes Album..........: Travel With Love (Expanded Edition) Year...........: 1984 (Reissue 2018) Bitrate........: 320 kbps Size...........: 160 mb
Comment........:
Original Release: 1984. Release Date: February 23, 2018. Label: Omnivore Recordings. Total Length: 1:09:37. Expanded reissue of the 1984 classic. Contains 10 bonus tracks, 7 previously unissued. New art and liner notes from Nighthawk Records' Leroy Jodie Pierson. Justin Hinds topped the charts in Jamaica with his 1964 single "Carry Go Bring Home" and eventually recorded a staggering seventy singles for the Treasure Island Record label. A ska and rocksteady pioneer, after a short stint with Mango Records in the '70s, he returned to the studio to record material for Nighthawk Records. Travel With Love was originally released in 1984, and combined Hinds and The Dominos' classic past with the evolving reggae sound. The original albums' 8 tracks were supplemented with a CD bonus track 3 years later, and eventually 2 more songs were unearthed for a 2015 LP reissue release. With Omnivore Recordings' acquisition of the Nighthawk Records label in 2017, even more material has been discovered and added, to create the definitive version of this classic. Travel With Love now reappears in 2018, with 10 bonus tracks, 7 previously unissued. It has been mastered by Grammy®-winning engineer Michael Graves. In addition to the music, the packaging features new art and liner notes from original producer Leroy Jodie Pierson, who also co-produced the reissue with Grammy®- winner, Cheryl Pawelski. Prepare to travel to the past and embrace the future of reggae with Travel With Love.
