The comical concept of Chencha Berrinches -- a shrewd group of musicians making enormous musical leaps with their self-described "Mexiska," an engaging brand of Latin-influenced ska, jazz, metal, reggae, and punk sound. Chencha Berrinches, a fictional name derived from a Mexican insult (the story of an old angry lady from Mexico who hated people with utter antipathy). The name also incorporates the "CH" sound, used and recognized in the Mexican culture and made popular by comedian characters like: El Chapulin Colorado, Chavo Del Ocho, El Chanfle, Dr. Chapatin etc. Chencha Berrinches was created in 1997. "Chencha Berrinches is a loose outfit that pounds out metal-driven Mexican ska or 'Mexiska.' Who says you can't mix too many musical metaphors?" Wrote Jim Myers of The Rage Magazine 2004.

Their 2004 album titled "Cada Loco Con Su Tema" captures the high-powered poetic danceable rhythm. Cada Loco COn Su Tema opens with "Hoy Resiste," a ferocious track plowing forward with melodic poetic authority. Central to the album's tone is "Libertad," which anchors the album with a strong melodic chorus that conveys a powerful message (for those who wish to stand up and fight) and more addictive guitar riffs delivers words of inspiration and encouragement to innocent outcasts of society. "Dona Tinieblas" captures a heavy metal sound with strong bass and powerful drums keeping the track complete, cruel and dark.
