REMASTERED!! Some of you might have noticed that our first four albums are no longer available on digital platforms, and has not been for a quite a while. Well they are on their way back, and two albums are now already up and running. Aprox 15 years ago the band made an agreement with a Swizz company (yes we stashed all our cash and bash in Switzerland ) regarding digital distribution and copyrights matters assigned to this. 15 years ago, that was really not a bad idea or deal! However, things evolve, the world go onwards and change and a few angry letters back and forth and a few threats about law suits later, our first four albums were deleted without any further notice. This was the summer 2020. Our drummer Ørjan and our lawers had been on the case for almost 7 months but couldn´t give us any good news, going through the agreements a billion times. However, in januar this year, a rookie (Anders for the win!) from our lawyers company called us claiming he had the solution, and that we could have a work around. Our three lawers working the case had given up and given the papers to an apprentis in their company to learn and investigate. He found that there were no clausules about rematering after 10 years! (no it was not one text line, it was 21 pages to put together the idea that remastering could be an option) So if we were to remaster the albums, this would be regarded as brand new releases, owned by the band! So then the work of digging up the masters tapes began and it was all handed over to Atle (our bass player for the last 13 years) to be remastered in his own studio. Atle has been with the band for 13 years, playing bass, making music videos, making movie documentary and doing recordings and mixing demos, and even if he did not play on these four albums, he know the sound in his spine, the producers and studios they were recorded in and has all the feel on how this should be done. "I remaster it with modern technology to match the orginal feel of the producer and band-line up at the time the album was recorded". So the albums are safely taken care of by a member of the band, rather than any studio putting it in the workflow with hundreds of other bands. So no, they are not blown up to the plastic over compressed sound most celtic punk bands have today. They just sound a little fresher than when they were made, because as Atle says "Too much and you loose the spirit of the band. In 1996 or 2001 or 2003 or 2006 it were slightly different members, but all doing their own thouch. A 2021 mastering compressor would kill that feel instantly!" So please enjoy, here is the second remastered album Streets of Salvation from 2003. This was Trond Øyvind Olsen first album on guitar ! We love you, the man the myth and the punk rock guitarist ! So now you all now why we have been away, and two more "new old" albums to come.
