An all-acoustic lineup of banjo, dobro, accordion, blues harmonica, guitar, upright bass and percussion, deftly mixing straight-ahead bluegrass, folk and country blues, and Louisiana Zydeco.

Some incarnation of the Pagan Jug Band has been around since 1993. The band has evolved over the years, but the philosophy of the two founding members that still remain in the band (Chris Miskow & Patrick Buckley) has not changed at all: play music that you love and you will be happy playing music!

The Pagan Jug Band plays around Portland at various local music spots and over the years have played at various local music festivals like Pickathon and the Oregon Country Fair. Chances are if you see them playing around town we will have an old friend sitting in with us for a few songs here and there, or maybe just a fan from the audience who happened to bring an interesting instrument with them. We love playing with new people and playing in new places.
