The Monsters were formed in Bern, Switzerland back in 1986. Their sound is a mixture between Rockabilly and 60`s Garage Punk. In the beginning they where a trio with stand up bass and stand up drums. After a while, drummer Oli left the band to play with Berns' rockabilly trio the Radiations. Oli was replaced by Peppe, owner and founder of Record Junkie the label and record shop. The Monsters only played in Switzerland from 1986 - 1990, and soon became unknown local heroes and recorded two long playing albums "Masks"1989(LP) & "The Hunch" 1990 (LP/CD) and a 4 song 7" EP "Nightmares"(1988) for Record Junkie In the begining of the 90`s the Monsters played in Germany, France, Holland, Belgium, Italy, Austria, and England. They released a few 45rpm`s on several labels in the USA, Germany, and Italy (Dionysus, Jungle noise, Mad driver..) and two new Long playing albums "Psych out with me" 10" on Jungle noise and the "Youth Against Nature" 12" LP on Record Junkie. Jungle Noise (German label) head Axel Gieseking also did a lot of writing about the Monsters for the press. He also had and still has his own fanzine called "Sartorial Elegance". The Monsters became a household name in Europe and Axel Gieseking also organized, together with Demolition Derby (Belgium), a very "successful" little Tour de Europe. The Monsters played Paris, London, Berlin, Hamburg, Torino...and 100 of other places where Rock`n`Roll still exists. In 1992 Beat-Man started his own record Label called Voodoo Rhythm. With this label he tried to publish his own projects (The Monsters, Lightning Beat-Man Reverend Beat-Man) and other Swiss Rock Garage acts and Punk and Rockabilly bands.

Today the Monsters play more than ever, the new record 'i see dead people' are selling very well Crazy Love records in Germany did a reprint of the long sold out 2 first albums, the mask , the hunch... and voodoo rhythm did a reprint of the 97 album 'youth against nature' the monsters today are a 3 or a 4 piece bands and they play with the world first CLONE DRUM SET... Di Putto hits one side Swan Lee the other... the result is LOUD and FAST as fuck..

a 2 CD and 2 LP set of rare unreleased stuff, live recordings (not shitty ones..loud n powerful) from all over the world, South America USA , Japan europe and and and, Demo Recordings for the Early Albums, Rehurcal Room recordings wierd Tape recordings very First Rehurcal and New Recordings from the Never Ever Session in 2005
the whole thing comes in 2CD's LP's because it was so much material to chose from and i think we did a very intressting compilation, Shure the Monsters Live is much better than the records but i think we found songs from all the recordings that comes very near, Guitars are mostly out of tuning and as loud as it's get, solos are uncontroled and with different lenght in every show as well the lyrics are different in ever show.you here the Clone Drum set how it sounds live and with many many fotos trou the 20 jears of beeing the monsters
in the Booklet and Liner notes all the members of the band wrote something down to the recordings and to the show where it was, to the people who organicing the shows, and little background storrys...
this is not just another Live Album this is more like a encyclopedia of the Underground Work the monsters did in Switzerland and all over the world, 20 jears of playing all over the world and meeting people building up the Whole Voodoo Rhythm family, the monsters record themself , they do all the artwork the organice the tours and and and all them self and trou the years there's not one second mainstream influence in the music it's RAW RAW ROCK'N'ROLL MUSIC , and true to the bone.

Release Date: November 12, 2021. Label: Voodoo Rhythm Record. Total Length: 38:17. Nestled centrally within landlocked Switzerland is the quaint town of Bern, a place where world leaders regularly meet, 12th century medieval architecture gracefully intersects modern designs, and the location where Einstein’s Theory of Relativity was originated. Class is a term synonymous with this town given its historical and cultural heritage but in the case of the chainsaw-on-steel sound of legendary Bernese garage punks, The Monsters, class is an irrelevant term to them. Thanks to COVID-19, the touring life of this Bernese super trash machine was put on halt and they used their newfound time to write and record the apocalyptic, hi-speed-boogie-fuzz-garage-trash-rock-n-roll songs you have in your hands here. A new album wasn’t enough for the quartet during the year; they were also contracted by Swiss film composer Mario Batkovic to assist in the soundtrack composition of a small horror opera, which will soon be announced.

Scandinavian Bestial Death Metal? PUH-LEEZE. Japanese Harsh Noise? GIMME A FUCKIN BREAK! This is the true evil that rock’n’rollers do, and you’ll be trembling in your creepers before your asses even get close to bumping to the radical raunch contained on this truly amazing long-player. Even long time rabid fans will be stunned by the sheer magnitude of nastiness and horror here, and if you’re a newcomer, we wish you the best of luck! Yeah, that’s a harpsichord and a choir on the intro. Oops, that’s the outro. We listen to shit backwards and you should too. But so fucking what? Religion rightly scares the piss out of us, and The Monsters make no bones about their just demands of servitude. But you know what the craziest part of this disaster is? It’s not simply that it transcends any trite categories like “GARAGE,” or “PSYCHOBILLY,” or even just (JUST!) “ROCK’n’ROLL,” it’s your perception of maestro Beatman’s tried and true and fried as fuck vocal throttle that’s damaged even further by him singing in Swiss-German for the first time on any of his vast catalog o’ cool, and it’s for the entirety of this monster swingin’ album! You want the English version? Well take your ass to his legendary Voodoo Rhythm label (Records To Ruin Any Party!) and imbibe as you are wont to do, but we’re gambling that this language, which has no formal written application, is going to screw your brains like his charmingly broken English has never done before. No offense, we love everything the Beatman touches, but this bold and genius move has got our lobes knocked up like a barefoot mormon sister-wife. Mondo Mongo, mofos! Familiar tracks from killer records past, like “I’m a Stranger To Me” reappear as “Frömd vo Mir” (hell, that one is almost a cognate) but everything here promises a hellish trip into the void, and we guarantee your eternal delight, but make no promises for your mental welfare.
