Formed in 1987 in Los Angeles, California, Headstrong was one of the first of the few Oi! bands in the greater Los Angeles Area. After playing a handfull of the first Oi! shows in southern California, the "Spirit of 69" demo was released. A year and a half later two additional songs were recorded for Link Records US of Oi (Vol 2), however the band split up soon after and the reels ended up on a dusty shelf. But almost 20 years later they are reborn, as Disconnected Records released the original recordings on September 18, 2007
